Report for week ending Sept. 3, 2005
Typical September fishing. Flat seas, blue skies. Regular customer John Lauranzano of Wayne, New Jersey fishing light tackle with 15 lb. line got a tarpon that was the biggest fish his guide Windy has ever brought to the boat. The fish measured 250 lbs. but was released. This makes 3 tarpon since November that beat the Costa Rican record of 207 lbs which was also caught at Rio Colorado Lodge in 1994. After the tarpon battle, guide Windy took John surf casting at Agua Dulce where he lost 3 nice snook in the 15lb. range with straightened hooks on that light tackle that John loves.
Billy Bostic of Texas on a one day return trip boated a nice 80 pound tarpon.
Eric Point of Michigan on day one of a six day trip jumped 2 and boated 1 nice 100 lb. tarpon in the first morning.
