Fishing Report ending December 12, 2005
Fishing and weather continue to be great in our area of the Rio Colorado.
On December 12th repeat customer and bass fishing expert Bryan Saliba, concentrated on Mojarra and Snook to take fillets back home. He fed the camp fresh fish for Sunday dinner also! See the huge bass Bryan boated on December 11th at the recent photos section of this site!
December 10th Jim Croner failed to boat a tarpon on his fly although the fish were splashing all around the boat, so he went inland and caught pan fish for the village to eat on a light fly rod.
On December 6th Terry O'Toole and Steve Voss fishing with guide Gilbert Brown, jumped 14 tarpon and boated 3 on their first tarpon trip!! They also tied into some large Jacks. They took advantage of the Snook run and caught a mess of Fat Snook for the dinner table.
December 5th George Neblett and his wife Amy Beth, on her first ever tarpon trip, fished 2 days and jumped five nice tarpon and boated 3 over 120 lbs.
