Current Fishing Reports from Rio Colorado Lodge

Fishing Report July 20, 2008

After a time of bad weather and slow fishing, the weather has improved, and the fishing is RED HOT!!

In the last 5 days the following fishing activities have occurred.

Kurt Kieradtka visited Rio Colorado Lodge from Panama. His first 2 days he chose to surf fish for snook. The surf was a bit rough and after 2 days of the waves beating his down, and no snook, he chose on day three to go out into the Caribbean and do a little fishing just outside the mouth. He boated 4 tarpon for 4 hook-ups and had had enough. The next 2 days he decided to go back to the surf. He caught several snook, one about 28 lbs,and very possibly a record Jack weighing 61lbs.

Alex Romero visitied again, and in one day, jumped 3 tarpon and boated one.

A group of 4 visited from South Africa, Errol Simpson, Colin Moodie, Michael Bremner and Trevor Gwillam. In the 3 days of fishing they jumped 54 tarpon and boated 11. They also caught several mojarra.
