Fishing Report Ending April 16, 2006
Fishing has been steady for the last two weeks with action in the river mouth and off shore on the rip line. Anglers have had all the action they wanted.
Scott Puchtel of Minnesota brought down a group 22 guys on a company trip and the group scored well over 100 hook-ups and boated at least 27 nice size tarpon in 3 days. Big Jack Crevale have been running with the Tarpon and on Easter Sunday one boat scored 7 Jacks over 40 lbs. Also on Easter, 2 anglers fishing in the afternoon for 3 hours, jumped over 15 tarpon on flies and conventional baits. We've had plenty of double hook-ups and a few tripples. Flat calm seas and clear water should keep the action going in the next week.
One happy lady angler on her first trip said after boating her first fish ever, a 90 pound tarpon, "It was the greatet experience of my life".
We will again have our $uper $ummer $pecial with $100 per fishing day discount on any of our packages from June 15 to August 15. Book your trip early!
