Current Fishing Reports from Rio Colorado Lodge

Report for week ending 7/18/05

Perfect weather on the back side on the hurricane. As normal, the fish really bite on the barometer change. While San Jose was cold and rainy, it was beautiful here at Rio Colorado Lodge.

David Keller, John Loos, and Paul McKean of Naples F. on their first one day trip here July 14th, jumped 30 Tarpon and boated 12.

Lawyer Luther Gatrell of Ashville, AL on his first one day trip July 15th jumped 12 Tarpon and boated 4 with a 5th lost at the boat due to hook failure.

Lawyer Howell Riggs of Brownsboro, AL on his 7th trip brought his Lawyer friend Robert Ford of Arab(pronounced A RAB, little a), AL. for a firt time visit. The two jumped 12 tarpon and boated 3 on a one day trip. Including myself, seems there were too many damn lawyers at the Lodge this week!

Michael Oshry of Hewlet Harbour, NY visited for a day July 16th, he jumped 2 Tarpon and boated 2.

After a solid month of red hot fishing, Sunday morning July 17th, the fish finally got lock jaw and quit biting. Stand by for a last minute update on a Father and Daughter here now fishing with Speedy.
